K-6 Art

They will delve into ART HISTORY, studying many different FAMOUS ARTISTS, along with their unique styles and works. Students will make creations of their own and explore many DIFFERENT STYLES and MEDIUMS of art like drawing, painting, sculpting, crafting, collage, mosaic, and much, much more! Students are also given the opportunity to compete for entry into the annual ACSI Regional ART FESTIVAL.

K-6 Music

Our students experience music through SINGING, playing RHYTHM instruments, musical GAMES, listening activities, and MOVING to music.  Music students will learn to find steady BEAT, demonstrate rhythm, identify pitch, and establish a musical vocabulary.  These activities encourage your child in the artistic, cultural, scientific, and mathematical foundations of music.  Your child develops his voice by singing alone, and learns to blend his voice with others by singing in a group.  Our priority is to discover the UNIQUE VOICE that God has gifted your child.  A VARIETY of musical STYLES will fill the year with FUN in our FAITH.  Creative movement to accompany songs will express his understanding of rhythm, beat, and the MOOD OF MUSIC.  The 2011 musical will be “JOSEPH and the DREAMTEAM EXTREME” to be performed in White’s Chapel UMC on Tuesday, May 10th.
